Who needs a place to live come August or September? (Or needs roommates?)
John and I are looking at apartments for a move in date of August 1 or September 1.
We can't really afford anything even reasonably nice on our own, so we're looking for one housemate to share a two bedroom.
We want someone who:
-wants to live a ten minute walk from Porter or Davis, or other red line stops.
-can pay $600. More would open up our options some; we're currently looking in the $1500-$1600 range. Our ideal is $1000 from me and John. We can go up to $1100, but it'll be super super tight.
-is not necessarily a neat freak, but will always clean up their dirty dishes and food packaging, and won't leave crumbs or spills undealt with.
- is not a complete stranger. Will consider friend-of-a-friends if I meet and interact extensively. Seeing their current living arrangements also helpful.
-has no pets. it's easier to find a place when you don't have to beg a landlord to allow them, and it'll keep the place cleaner.
-will take turns with common area cleaning, including scrubbing the tub and whatnot
Is social, but keeps late-night activity mostly to weekends. I gots to sleep during the work week.
Geek would be good!
Here's what we're looking for in an apartment:
Two bedroom where the larger bedroom can hold two people and two people's stuff.
Large eat-in kitchen or a dining room. I'd like to be able to bring my big dining table.
Bathroom needs to contain a tub, not just a shower stall. I can't assume my muscle spasms will never come back.
In-building laundry, or a laundromat within one block.
Please boost the signal?
ALTERNATIVELY: if you have or know someone who has an established place already, and is willing to live with a drama-free couple and give us the master bedroom, please let us know!

I think that the master bedroom in my place might be a bit small for you and John - the bedrooms in older buildings tend to be a bit smaller - but it does have two closets. I've fit a startling amount of furniture in the room. There are also spare closets in the common areas, which give the place some extra storage. I know you've seen my place, but if you and John would like to look at it together, you are more than welcome to. (Plus, you know I love to see you!)

Thank you for the offer, but I think one bathroom for four people would be a little tight when we're all getting ready for work. I want to try and keep it to no more than 3 people sharing a bathroom.
I do agree that we should hang out soon though!

I hope we can hang out soon - if nothing else, I am definitely coming to your birthday bash (I invited Josh and he should come too)!
My weeknight schedule is going to be super-tight for the foreseeable future, thanks to physical therapy, but I do have availability on weekends.
Speaking of physical therapy - are you looking for a place? I really like the place I'm going so far. Everyone is really nice and it's pretty easy to get to.
